Chain-Events is a cycling challenge and adventure provider, and was started by the very man behind the official C2C route. David Gray, who created the route when he worked for the sustainable transport charity Sustrans, said   “Fifteen thousand people a year complete this route, and they deserve a bit more than a pat on the back. It also struck me that people who take on this challenge in groups should be able to let people know what they’re taking on, and wearing the C2C cycling shirt is a way of doing that.”
