W2W Challenge - 153 Miles

Saturday 6am Assemble and Registration at St Peters Campus car park, Sunderland Univ. Roker.

Followed by departure on coaches and baggage lorry direct to Barrow.

10am approx Start/depart from Walney Island (1 mile west of Barrow)

Follow route via Ulverston, Cartmel, Grange-over-Sands, Kendal to Kirkby Stephen

76 miles.

Overnight Campsite or YHA or own B & B

Sunday 6am onwards Early breakfast, pack up and depart.

Continue route via Tan Hill, Bowes to Barnard Castle. Route splits- option one via Bishop Auckland (direct) or via Hamsterley Forest (scenic and hillier)

Rejoin at Willington and continue via Durham City, Hetton, Doxford Park and onto Sunderland for finish at Roker marina

77 miles.

Collect refreshments, souvenirs, baggage and depart.
